10. New Jack City (1991)
An awesome gangster film. Wesley Snipes was considered for an academy award on this film. It’s dark and all about the drugs.
9. Heat (1995)
Heat is a great film, but it could have been better. Pacino and De Niro in the same film makes you expect a lot. It is still a must see.
8. Usual Suspects (1995)
A great movie, and one of the best organized crime movies ever. It is about a bogeyman for criminals.
7. Pulp Fiction (1994)
Unique to mob film, Pulp Fiction is one of the most stylish organized crime film ever made. It is a must seen.
6. Untouchables (1987)
The best role Robert De Niro has ever played. That is saying a lot for this film. De Niro isn’t on screen a lot, but he went all out, gained weight and was outstanding. It is a must see film.
5. Miller’s Crossing (1990)
A great mob film. It’s in our top 5 for a reason. If you haven’t seen it, you have to.
4. On the Waterfront (1954)
“I could have been a contender.” Brando is amazing in this film. It is gritty, and real life 40s and 50s dock workers and all that the mob was in this country at one time. This movie more than any other one on this list captures the human side, a great story behind what mob life did to those living with those close to the organized crime.
3. Scarface (1983)
Completely glorified and sensationalized, but iconic. Full of violence and drugs and the classic story of misguided king gone wrong.
2. Goodfellas (1990)
The movie puts you right in the middle of a real life mob story. The directing and storytelling is amazing. If you don’t like mob films, you will after seeing this one.

A classic and a the epic story of the American mafia. Much of the movie is based on real characters and real events. It is again, iconic, and epic.
